The Mammoth Huskies Girls Volleyball teams have successfully concluded their High Desert League season, with both the Junior Varsity and Varsity squads achieving undefeated records. This impressive performance culminated in straight-set victories against the Boron Bobcats in their final league matches last Thursday. The Huskies' consistent excellence has now secured them their sixth consecutive High Desert League title, marking another period of dominance in local league play.

Both the JV and Varsity teams completed their league schedules with perfect 10-0 records. The Junior Varsity team demonstrated exceptional command throughout their season, winning every single match by a score of 2-0. Similarly, the Varsity team showcased significant strength, accumulating a remarkable 30-1 set record across all their league contests. These achievements underscore a season of strong performance and consistent wins for both Mammoth Huskies volleyball programs.

Building on this success, the Mammoth Huskies Varsity team has earned the top seed, #1, in the upcoming CIF Central Section Division 4 tournament. This premier seeding positions the Huskies favorably as they embark on their quest for a CIF title. The tournament is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, October 27, with the Huskies' first game set to begin at 5 p.m.

The initial tournament match for the Huskies will take place on their home court at the Mammoth High School gym. They are slated to face the winner of the #16 seed play-in match, which will be contested on Monday between the Madera and Minarets teams. This first-round matchup presents an early challenge for the top-seeded Huskies as they look to advance deeper into the postseason.

Beyond their athletic achievements, the Huskies have also used their platform to support an important cause. Throughout the month, the team has been wearing pink jerseys to raise awareness for breast cancer awareness month. This initiative invites the community to join in solidarity.

Residents are encouraged to show their support for the Huskies as they pursue a CIF title. Spectators are invited to wear their best pink attire to the games, both to cheer on the team and to continue promoting breast cancer awareness. To attend the games, tickets must be purchased in advance.
